VIDEOGRAPHY
SIMPLEHUMAN
social media coordinator, full-time (2020-present)
I handle all video requests at simplehuman, from reformatting ads to meet retailer specifications, to filming, editing, retouching, and animating videos for our website, paid and organic social media, as well as email. I have also helped produce video content for our recent product launches, including the Sensor Pump Max, Compost Caddy, and Sensor Mirror Trio Max.
INDEPENDENT FILM
DIRECTOR (2020)
As part of my Food Studies minor at UCLA, I had the opportunity to produce a film about the food industry’s response to the COVID-19 crisis. Since I had already been working at Everytable as a marketing intern, I was eager to pitch a documentary about their strategic efforts to provide emergency food relief to vulnerable individuals during the pandemic. My pitch was chosen as one of the final group projects and I was designated the Director of the film.
Throughout production, I worked closely with my team to execute the vision for our documentary. For example, I conducted interviews with the VP of Strategic Partnerships and GM of Operations & Subscription at Everytable to better understand their fight against food insecurity in the midst of COVID-19. I also gathered video footage to ensure that the b-roll effectively contributes to the intended look and feel of our film. As the Director, I provided the Producer and Editor with detailed feedback as well.
DISCOVERY, INC.
CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS INTERN (2019)
Beyond my daily responsibilities as the Corporate Communications Intern, I was also given the opportunity to work closely with Discovery’s Internship Program to help produce a recruitment video for external marketing. From researching existing content, conceptualizing the story, and organizing filming logistics, to setting up video equipment, conducting interviews, and capturing b-roll, I contributed to almost every stage of the production process, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
SEMEL HEALTHY CAMPUS INITIATIVE
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR (2018-2020)
In collaboration with UCLA Recreation, I created #BruinsGetMoving, a social media campaign where I directed and produced daily videos to share the wellness journeys of our very own Bruins. I brought together four fitness enthusiasts on campus and worked closely with them to curate a fun, relatable message of healthy and active living at UCLA. The students were given instructions on how to film, and I was then responsible for editing and marketing the videos.
GREEN QUEEN MEDIA
VIDEO INTERN (2017)
In summer 2017, my passion for digital storytelling culminated in an internship with Asia’s award-winning media platform, Green Queen, where I filmed and edited 10 videos promoting plant-based eating in Hong Kong. I interviewed local restaurants and cafes such as Maison Libanaise, Nood Food, Food Craft, and Be-Juiced to share their journey within the healthy foods industry.
